INTRODUCTION TO SPATIAL DESIGN

(DST30705)

Overall Reflection

Throughout this module, I have gained several new skills and developed a deeper understanding of Spatial Design concepts that I had never considered before. Over the course of this semester, I have learned and acquired various skills, such as Problem Solving and Communication Skills.

The Problem Solving skill proved invaluable when I encountered challenges in combining different elements of my model and striving to improve it. Seeking feedback and implementing changes suggested by my tutor significantly aided me in overcoming these obstacles.

Furthermore, Communication Skills played a crucial role during Assignment 2, where I had to collaborate with my group to discuss the hybrid model, and during the final project presentation to external parties. Expressing my ideas verbally was one of the most significant difficulties I faced in this module.

Despite the challenges, I thoroughly enjoyed creating models more than working on presentations in PowerPoint. The hands-on aspect of building models appealed to me, and I found it to be a more engaging and attractive part of the assignments.

This module has provided me with an abundance of new knowledge regarding spatial design, considering spaces from one point to another and exploring three-dimensional volumes. Overall, I believe that I have made progress toward achieving some of the Taylor TGC goals, particularly in the areas of Problem Solving and Communication Skills.
